Every detail matters, but people matter most:
I’ve always believed that the magic of a wedding isn’t just in the flowers, music, or perfect timeline. It’s in how everything flows together so naturally that the couple (and the guests) never see all of the work happening behind the scenes. That’s my happy place: taking all the moving parts, emotions, and unexpected curveballs, and weaving them into a day that feels effortless for everyone else.
My mom always told me she thought I’d make a great event planner, but I brushed her off (what can I say? Teenagers) and went into real estate. But in the back of my mind, I always romanticized the wedding industry.
One day, an acquaintance who owned a wedding venue, hired me part-time as her first-ever venue planner. It was a trial for both of us since she’d never had someone in that role before, and I’d never officially planned an event. But it didn’t take long for me to fall in love with the job.
I thrived on the energy, the creativity, and most of all, the joy of creating experiences people would remember forever. From there, I went on to plan everything from weddings to corporate events to large concerts.
Over the years, I’ve worked in nearly every role that’s pivotal to a wedding: catering and wait staff, setup and teardown crew, venue management, and, of course, being a bride and bridesmaid myself. For the roles I haven’t personally filled, I’ve hired and worked alongside those professionals countless times. That experience gives me a unique perspective on what each vendor needs to succeed and how to anticipate challenges before they even arise.
Weddings hold a special place in my heart because they’re one of the most significant and personal days in someone’s life. Yes, the structure of the day might be similar from one wedding to the next, but each is a unique reflection of the couple. I love getting to know their personalities, hearing what they want to feel on their big day, and creating that environment so they can be fully present without worrying about the details.
When I’m not working on events, you can find me at home with my daughter, my Siberian cat, Willow, and my Samoyed, Arlo. I love cooking or baking with a glass of wine in hand, exploring new restaurants with my husband, and spending time with family and friends.
